Sam is an attorney in both the Workplace Justice Project and Health and Benefits Equity Project. Sam represents workers in wage-theft cases. They also work to make healthcare more equitable. Sam co-leads the Trans Rights Advocacy Coalition.
Before joining the PJC, Sam was a staff attorney at Disability Rights Maryland. They focused on healthcare access for individuals with developmental disabilities. Sam also represented LGBTQ+ youth as a Skadden Fellow with the Homeless Persons Representation Project. Sam clerked for the Honorable Paula Xinis of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and for the Honorable Diana Gribbon Motz of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Sam earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law in 2018. Before attending law school, Sam worked as a community organizer and in food service. Sam enjoys planting flowers and indoor rock climbing.
