Access to Interpretation and Translation

You have the right to free oral interpretation and written translation from health care providers and certain state government agencies if they receive federal funding. They must provide you with a qualified interpreter and translator regardless of your immigration status. Show the English-side of the card below to your provider or the agency staff person to request language assistance services.

If you have been denied language assistance services and are seeking legal assistance, please contact the Public Justice Center at 410-625-9409.
