Omar joined the PJC in June 2024 as a paralegal for the Human Right to Housing Project. As a student, he was an immigration legal intern at a local refugee resettlement agency, and after graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Louisville, he worked as a caseworker serving refugees in the greater Louisville area. He is excited to apply the client-oriented skills he obtained in Kentucky to legal advocacy for Baltimore tenants.
Raised in Louisville, KY, Omar is a proud Muslim-American with roots in Damascus, Syria and the Una-Sana region of Bosnia. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, film photography, and going on hikes!
