Activists push for right to counsel in US civil cases

December 1, 2011: People who are charged with crimes in the United States have a constitutional right to have an attorney provided to them by the government,  if they can not afford one on their own. Legal advocates for the poor also want that right expanded to low-income people caught in non-criminal - or civil - cases.
