What is a CarrotMob?
CarrotMobbing is a way to enrich the Paid Sick Days campaign by using our consumer dollars and buying power to reward businesses that have socially responsible practices. As patrons of companies with good business practices, we can encourage our peers and lawmakers to see the importance of valuing workers and their families.
Andy Shallal makes sure his staff members have the opportunity to take a paid day off when they or a loved one are sick. This means Busboys and Poets employees can get well sooner, bring fewer germs to the workplace and are more likely to stay in their jobs. Paid Sick Days have worked for Andy's business and we want to extend the dignity of paid sick leave to all Maryland workers.
Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP.
