Two major cities – New York and San Francisco – now provide a right to counsel for tenants facing eviction in rent court. Momentum around similar initiatives are building in other cities and states. But even beyond housing, the national movement to establish a right to counsel in civil cases where basic human needs are at stake is having a watershed moment. Join John Pollock, Coordinator of the National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel, and others to learn more about some of the biggest victories and new initiatives in the courts and legislatures, and learn what your role could be in this groundbreaking effort.
